Privacy, terms, and minimal data

Connect Inland Empire (Connect IE) is pre-incorporation beta, IE-only marketplace for 10 Inland Empire cities + Victorville. We minimize data for CA compliance (CCPA). No pay-to-win ranking. Ever.

1. What we collect

• Unclaimed listings (90 seeded): business_name, google_place_id, google_address, google_type, base_city, service_radius_miles, avg_rating, total_reviews — all public Google Places Text Search via Supabase Edge Function. No personal email/phone stored. Marked Unclaimed.
• Claimed listings: Above + owner-provided bio, photos, license, website, work email/phone with consent. Verified badge added after ID check (Stripe Identity planned).
• Residents: Search queries, city filters — no home address plotted. Provider-city anchored maps only.
• Google Sign-In: If you create your resident account using "Continue with Google," we receive only your name and email address from Google — nothing else. We use this solely to create and secure your account and to let you sign back in. We never access your Gmail, Drive, contacts, or any other Google data, never post or take any action on your behalf, and never share this information with providers or any third party. This data is stored securely with Supabase, our backend provider, and you can request its deletion at any time — see Delete My Data.
• Analytics: Minimal, anonymized, to improve IE coverage.

2. What we DON’T collect or show

• No resident home address is ever plotted on our maps. Only a provider's general city area and service radius (5, 15, or 30 miles) are shown, using simple color-coded circles — never an exact address.
• No provider home address — only base city center + radius.
• No sale of personal info. Ever. IE-only.
• No pay-to-win ranking. Rankings are community-driven: reviews, verification, responsiveness.

3. Maps & privacy-safe radius

Our maps use an illustrated design rather than a real satellite map. A provider's marker is placed at the general center of their home city — never a specific street address — and their service radius is shown as a simple colored circle (5, 15, or 30 miles). Residents are never shown as pins or markers on any map.

4. Your CCPA Rights

• Delete your listing or personal data — see Data Deletion. Processed within 15 days beta.
• Correct inaccurate business info.
• Access what we hold.
• Opt-out of sale — we don’t sell, so nothing to opt out.

5. Data retention

Unclaimed public data retained until owner claims or requests deletion. Claimed data retained while listing active. Deleted within 15 days of request. Supabase RLS restricts access.
