Safety tips for residents & providers

We’re building trust-first for the Inland Empire. IE-only, no pay-to-win, provider-city anchored radius (no resident address plotted). These tips help keep both sides safe.

For Residents

Check verification badges
Look for Claimed + Verified, license numbers, ID checked. Unclaimed = public data only, pending owner verification.
Meet in public first for new providers
Especially for tutoring, babysitting, pet care. Riverside libraries, Rancho Cucamonga community centers are good neutral spots. Our map shows city + radius only, not home address.
Read real reviews with context
Focus on communication, reliability, outcomes — not just stars. Flag suspicious reviews. Rankings are community-driven, not ad spend.
Ask for license/proof for regulated trades
Plumbing C-36, electrical C-10, HVAC C-20. Verify via CA CSLB. We display license transparently when claimed.
Never pay 100% upfront
Use milestones. For large jobs, consider escrow. In beta we don’t handle payments — direct, so keep records.

For Providers

Your home address stays private
We only plot base city + 5/15/30mi radius circles (blue/sage/tan) on clean topo map beige #f5f0e8. No resident or provider home plotted. Set radius from city center.
Claim & verify to build trust
Unclaimed listings show public data only (name, place_id, address). Claiming adds bio, photos, license, and Verified badge — higher conversion, community trust.
Show, don’t tell
Add before/after photos, license, CPR for childcare, proof of insurance. Displayed transparently, not upsold.
Communicate clearly
Respond within 2 hours typical. State availability, service radius, pricing upfront. IE-only means neighbors — reputation matters.
Report issues
Flag fake reviews, misuse. We’re beta, pre-incorporation, building community rules together. Email via Contact.
